What to Expect

Sid Gold's is Nashville's only piano karaoke bar. The front room is your standard bar; the back room is the piano lounge. Most nights bring live piano karaoke with a start time that shifts depending on the calendar. Reservations are recommended given how small the room is, but walk-ins are genuinely welcome. Parking is easier here than most of East Nashville. Beyond the nightly singing, the calendar runs its own oddball lineup. Each week, Monday brings a show-tunes open mic and Wednesday pairs a bring-your-own-vinyl hour with a burlesque set. Once a month, there's a Disney singalong and a "Bummer Night" sad-song karaoke that's a local favorite. There's also an analog photo booth on site that uses real film for a souvenir of the night out. The room's reputation as "the most supportive room in town" isn't just marketing copy. It shows up unprompted in independent reviews too, and it's the reason first-timers terrified of singing in public tend to come back.
