Ascend Amphitheater
Outdoor amphitheater located along the river, known for hosting touring artists and larger live shows. A go-to spot for concerts with city skyline views and a more open, scenic setting.
What to Expect
Ascend sits along the Cumberland River at the edge of downtown Nashville. The Broadway corridor and city skyline rise directly behind the stage, and on a clear evening with the sun going down, that backdrop is hard to find anywhere else in the city. Outside of the views, it's a solid outdoor amphitheater with reserved seating up front and a large sloped GA lawn behind it. A blanket or chair is an option for the lawn but not a requirement. Sound carries well across the entire space and the video screens keep you locked in no matter where you land. Rideshare is the move on show nights since downtown parking is expensive and unpredictable. Ascend has won Pollstar's outdoor venue award more than once since opening in 2015 and books big touring acts across a range of genres. Broadway is steps away when the show ends, SoBro venues are close, and East Nashville is a short rideshare if you want to keep the night going somewhere with a little more local feel.
