Tennessee Brew Works

What to Expect

Tennessee Brew Works sits just south of Music City Center. The brew tanks are visible from the tables, and a beer hall upstairs doubles as a sports bar on game days. Live music runs downstairs in a dedicated room built with sound in mind. It holds roughly 200 people, with acts running most nights of the week. Tuesdays bring a Writer's Round from 6 to 8pm, and Wednesdays hand the stage to Tennessee Dead, a Grateful Dead cover band. Mondays split the difference between an early open mic and a karaoke night that runs into the evening. The brewery opened in 2013 and has stayed independently Tennessee owned since. It's built around a mission to make beer that honors Tennessee's land and traditions, and in 2018 it became the first brewery in the state to brew with all-Tennessee grain. That focus continues in its State Park Blonde Ale: the official beer of Tennessee State Parks, which benefits the conservancy behind the state's 57 parks. The kitchen leans on the beer itself with dishes like State Park Blonde beer-battered fish tacos and a Five Beer Burger built around five different house brews in its sauces and toppings. The patio is dog-friendly, with hours running 11am to 10pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 8pm on Sunday. A dedicated guest lot and street parking are both nearby.
